PR volunteer opportunity: Grand Slam 2015

Are you looking for event-day execution volunteer experience? Are you a sports fan?

Toronto East General Hospital has tasked the Humber PR Committee with finding volunteers to work at this year’s Grand Slam 2015.

EVENT OVERVIEW

Join athletes and celebrities for major league action at the inaugural Grand Slam celebrity softball tournament, in support of the Toronto East General Hospital (TEGH) Foundation. Teams of 10 to 14 commit to raise a minimum of $25,000 to qualify and participate.

The slow pitch tournament will take place on Saturday, May 9 at Powerade Centre in Brampton, where each team will play three games with their celebrity against other teams.

DUTIES

Assisting with event coordination at the tournament:

  • Registration
  • Greeting
  • Logistics
  • Ticket sales
  • Auction support
  • Set up/tear down

Date: Saturday, May 9, 2015

Time and location: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. (various shifts are available if you can’t help all day; games start at 8 a.m., so volunteers are needed prior to, to help with set up) at Powerade Centre in Brampton
